Moon Dragon Photography Bio
I am the C.E.O. of Moon Dragon Enterprises and an experienced photographer since 1985. I have worked in photography in a semi-professional capacity for that time. I have a degree in T.V. Production, and worked in the Chicago T.V. market for ten years. I have many years of experience with professional models, and modeling agencies. My photos have been used in the portfolios of those seeking modeling careers, as well as building portfolios. This is not a commercial venture, purely  an artistic one. So as a result I work free of charge, in a TFP -
Trade For Pictures arrangements. It cost you nothing but your time, and patience as I organize a CD of your pictures to send you. This opportunity is for anyone who wants some fresh photos, or anyone pursuing a modeling career. Photography is something I have done for a long time, and have a natural gift for composition. My portfolio speaks for itself, view my work and be the judge.

I believe in genuine, honest,  non-synthetic photographs, free of too much corruption. In other words I use manipulation very sparingly. I use Photo shop to adjust very little, and never use filters and effects. 95% of the finished image should be born when the shutter snaps. This is a matter of character and integrity to which I adhere in all my art forms. I believe the farther away you get from the original image, the farther you stray from the truth. It is an ideal stance, and what sets me apart from almost every other photographer I have seen. My photos may not be as "Finished" as others work, but they are closer to the truth.  Ultimately I am seeking the most photogenic faces, to create pictures that are gallery level quality photos in an honest fashion. I'm looking for people who are naturally comfortable in front of the camera. Beauty is only one part of the equation, you have to be comfortable in your own skin too. I work for the sake of the art form. Creating something interesting, and beautiful is what makes life worth being a part of. It is also a way to leave a legacy that will mark my time here. I am also a Singer, Songwriter, Guitarist, Poet, and Author. So if you are interested in being photographed, send me a message. I can answer any questions you have, and arrange a photo shoot. Be well, Eric.

It's good to know..
Know YOUR market

As a model, the best way to increase your chances for success is to evaluate yourself as a model properly and target that specific part of the market that best fits your features.

The two most popular and obvious types of models (and market sections) are "fashion" and "glamour" models (markets). Both have very well-defined specifications and requirements, that, unlike most models want to believe, are completely different from each other. And also the way those two markets operate is completely different - real fashion clients only work through agencies.

A common mistake most models make is aiming at the "high-fashion" market, without meeting the criteria or knowing what "high" fashion even means. Even though when you hear "model" you don't think of a Harvard graduate, most of the successful models are extremely smart and well educated. Always research and be realistic! Even though Kate Moss is just 5'7", she should not be your guide-star. The industry rarely makes exceptions. All model markets are very profitable and if you just stay on the realistic side there should not be a reason not to succeed.
